My son loves to play football. Even though it does make me cringe at times because of the hard hits, I have never stopped him from doing what he loves. Even when he was hit so hard that we had to start seeing a chiropractor in Sacramento, I knew that he wanted to get fixed as quickly as possible so he could get back out there on the turf with his friends. I have had passion like that myself, so I understood exactly where he was coming from, even though I still cringe when I replay the hit in my mind that brought us to our chiropractor.
He was taken the emergency room as a precaution, and he was kept overnight just for observation. He complained of dizziness and pain in his back, and it was the dizziness that they were most concerned about. He was released the next day, and we immediately contacted a chiropractor that they had suggested we see. Dr. Barham was absolutely perfect for us. I had gone to his website to learn more about him as well as his practice, and I was reassured that we were seeing the best doctor possible.
My son liked him instantly, and I did too. My son already knew that the reason Dr. Barham went into chiropractic care is because of a football injury, so he had to ask some questions about that. I liked him because he was patient and open, not minding my son’s questions. While they talked, the doctor did an examination, and he devised a treatment plan that would require he stay away from playing football for at least a few weeks. He was not happy about that, but he respected the doctor enough to agree to it. He had several adjustments done during this time, and he told both of us that he felt better than ever the day before he donned his uniform again.
