Dealing with the Loss of a Friend

I used to have a dog that loved more than life itself. I would walk the dog every day and take it with me everywhere I could. To me, that dog was just like a person, and it was my best friend. Nothing lasts forever, and my dog eventually reached old age. He lived a wonderful life and passed on earlier this year. I was devastated for a long time and couldn’t think about anything else but him. My parents sent me a link to https://exoticbirds.life/owls/ because they thought it would be a good idea to get a new pet to help stop being depressed about the loss of my dog.

At first, I didn’t understand why my parents wanted me to get an owl instead of another dog. They told me that it was because an owl was a completely different animal. They figured that if I got a dog, I would only be reminded of the pet that I lost, rather than move on. I understood their reasoning, but a bird just seemed so out of left field, especially an owl. I’ve known people who have had things like parrots and pigeons, but never have I seen an owl owner.

Eventually I warmed up to the idea of owning an owl. There’s something about an owls eyes that look mystifying. When they open them up, it’s a little haunting but cool. I also like it when they turn their heads around. I got an owl and a glove so that I could let it sit on my wrist. It has a beautiful set of feathers and impressive wings. I let the owl hunt around at night. Somehow, it’s always able to find something to eat. It finds tiny rodents that I never knew were roaming around in my area.
